The two founders of Revolve Electronics are not new to the consumer electronics industry. For many years, both Eli Probst (left) and Todd Metlen have played a large role in bringing many of the electronics products you would recognize to market.

Working for some of the world’s most prestigious brands provided both Todd and Eli a deep level of experience and understanding of the inner workings of global manufacturing. As senior-level designers and management, they saw the good, the bad, and everything imaginable in between.

The big corporations that control the vast majority of the consumer electronics market follow a destructive paradigm. They flood the market with semi-useful items that are made as cheaply as possible, with built-in obsolescence and a short usable life. The goal is to get you to spend your money on as many things as possible, as fast as possible by having to throw them away and buy more. The amount of financial, human and natural resources used to accomplish this goal is breathtaking...and must change. If all these resources were directed in a different way, what could they accomplish?

Todd and Eli founded Revolve Electronics to introduce to the world a radical new paradigm: Make highly useful products that simplify and enhance your life -- products that are well-made, user-serviceable and intended to last for years. Make these products the world’s first Earth Friendly Electronics® by using natural, recycled and sustainable materials. Build these products in a factory setting that is safe, clean and pays a fair wage. Treat employees like partners and peers in an environment of mutual respect. Give back to our global community in a way that builds people up -- don’t hold people down by worshiping the bottom line.

Revolve might be a new name in electronics, but its foundation is based on the age-old tenet of doing the right thing.
